PappaRich (Malaysian Delights) spans the globe with restaurants in 7 countries. Project Design International Ltd (PDI) has been involved with the design of their entry into the New Zealand food and beverage scene with restaurants in Auckland CBD, Wellington CBD and now Sylvia Park.
Recently opening the doors to its largest restaurant in Australasia at Sylvia Park, PDI has worked with PappaRich and their Franchisee creating a standout new look restaurant concept whilst maintaining core identity items and effective budget allocation.
PDI created an open kitchen concept and made this the focal point within the space. The large brass bulkhead floats within the open lofty ceilings enabling the guest to watch the ‘Pappa White Coffee’, and Roti Canai being flipped and poured in front of your eyes adding a new theatrical dimension to your dining experience.
This unique site had 35m of glazed shopfront which allowed PDI to create something that was widely visible from the outside. The warm wooden hues of the timber, clusters of decorative fittings, light reflecting bulkhead and touches of brass and copper makes for an inviting space for authentic Malaysian dining.
The restaurant is finished in earthy colours to give a cosy, fresh and comfortable ambience with multiple dining options to suit fast casual dining or a relaxing and entertaining meal experience.
